UACG is the most prestigious in its field. It was founded in 1942 as a Higher Technical School following a decree issued on June 6, 1941 by the Bulgarian Tsar Boris III. In 1990 by a decision of its General Assembly the Institute was renamed University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACG), the official accreditation being voted by the Parliament on 21 July 1995. On 15.11.2001 received institutional accreditation. It has been founded in 1942 and has 5 faculties. There is only one discipline in English: “Building up buildings” – it is 5 years for a Master degree.
UACG can apply for foreign students who have a diploma of secondary education, providing them with access to education in the relevant higher education institutions of the country in which secondary education was acquired.
Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” was founded on October 1st, 1888 making it the oldest university in the Bulgarian capital.
The main building of the university is in the city centre with a total of 16 faculties and 105 subjects being taught daily.
Due to large demand, an additional medical faculty in St. Kliment Ohridski was established.
There are currently over 30,000 students enrolled at the university.
The university has become a significant scientific hub and one of the most highly regarded centres of science in the Balkans.

Medicine is an entirely English-taught programme which lasts 6 years. Courses typically involve 10 semesters of academic training.
Courses at Sofia University ‘St Kliment Ohridski’ are structured so that the first 2 years focus on pre-clinical study and theory with the next 3 years focusing primarily on clinical study.
The course finishes with an internship year of medical rotations before graduation. Students are required to take state exams for licensing during this period.
Summer internships during 2nd, 3rd 4th year of the programme must also be completed.
When students have successfully fulfilled all the requirements of the programme, they receive the professional qualification of Physician or Doctor of Medicine.

Candidates must submit the following documents:
Application form including a brief bio, educational history and the courses for which they are applying.
Diploma (a copy) of completed secondary education with an academic transcript stating the disciplines studied
Document issued by relevant authorities, certifying the right to continue education in higher schools and universities in the country of origin of the secondary school attended by the applicant
Health certificate issued less than one month before application and verified in the country from which the candidate is applying.
